Work
I've been around the computer industry for a long time, and have worked
for ICL,
the CEGB,
spent two decades as a contractor, mainly
for public sector and utilities organisations
and in 2003 joined
Fujitsu Services
as a Principal Solution Architect for the
Rail Journey Information System.
Professionally, my main current area of expertise is infrastructure development in Perl under FreeBSD and Windows but
I am something of a generalist.
"Play"
I have a strong personal interest in UNIX (particularly
FreeBSD)
and Perl.
I was a council member (with responsibility for membership) of the UK
UNIX User Group.
I was a committee member of the Association of C and C++ Users.
Pictures
A small collection of images
, processed with WebMagick.
You may need to dig around somewhat amongst the nested, mainly empty, directories.
Images from RJIS Release 2 Implementation in February 2002
are available.
